Questions
What is the talking stage?
It’s the stretch after you match or meet someone and before you’re actually dating: lots of texting, a few calls, maybe a first date, and no label yet. It can be fun, and it can drag on.
How long should the talking stage last?
There’s no rule. A useful sign: if you’ve been texting for a couple of weeks and nobody has suggested a day and a place, it’s fine to be the one who does.
Am I a dry texter?
If most of your replies are one word and none of them ask anything back, maybe. Answer, then ask one question. In this game, your texting style is whichever kind of reply you picked most: The Dry Texter, The Paragraph Sender, The Smooth Operator, The Unhinged Texter, The Read-Receipt Ghost.
How do you ask someone out over text?
Be specific: a day, a time and a place, in one short text. “Tacos Thursday at 7?” is easier to say yes to than “we should hang sometime.”
How do I get a faster time?
Every match likes a different kind of reply. Read their texts, match their energy, and ask them out once the vibe meter is high. Ask too early and they dodge.
Do you save my texts?
No. Every match and every text is made up and lives in your browser; nothing you tap is sent anywhere, and the images are made on your phone. If analytics is on, we only record that a game finished and which texting style came up, and, if you save or share the image, which style and how.
