Delete your OtherDay account and data
Last updated: October 11, 2026
Operator: GRASS Outdoor Co., Ltd.
You can delete your account yourself in the app or on the website at any time. Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. If you cannot sign in, you can also email us to request deletion.
Delete in the app or on the website
If you have created a twin: open the menu in the upper-right corner, go to Settings › Account & data › Delete account & twin. Type DELETE and select the red Delete account & twin button.
If you have not created a twin: open the upper-right menu, expand Delete account at the bottom, type DELETE, and select Delete account.
To keep a copy of your main data first, sign in on the website and select Settings › Account & data › Export my data. Downloads are not currently available inside the mobile app. End any voice call with your twin before deleting your account.
Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription. Cancel it separately in your Apple or Google subscription settings. See how to cancel a subscription.
If you cannot sign in
If you remember your recovery code, select Forgot password on the sign-in screen, reset your password, and delete the account yourself. If you do not remember either, email us with the account name you registered and the subject “Delete account.” We will verify that you own the account, delete it, and reply.
For a username-and-password account, tell us your account name. If you used Apple, Google, or phone sign-in, tell us which method you used so we can help verify your account. Do not send your password, recovery code, or verification codes.

Data that is deleted
Deleting your account removes:
- Your account and settings: Your account name, saved password and recovery code hashes, sign-in credentials, twin appearance, permissions, and chat schedule.
- Your private conversations and photos: Chats and call transcripts with your twin, resized photos, and AI observations about those photos.
- What your twin learned: Memories, requests, rules, habits, interpretations, example scenarios, and information imported from other AI services.
- Your connections: Encounters, dates, observations, private messages, choices about connecting with other players, and blocks.
- Notification data: Once notifications are enabled, the push token, phone time zone, operating system, and app version.
Encounters and private messages involving you are also deleted from other players' accounts.
Deletion also removes analytics choices, background hypothesis notes, predictions, daily reports, and share cards tied to your account. Linked Apple access is revoked, and a linked Firebase Auth user is deleted before local account deletion completes. If either service cannot confirm that step, deletion stops so you can try again. Your OtherDay account is not deleted unless these steps succeed.
Data that remains and for how long
- AI usage and voice-call duration: Unlinked from your account and retained long term to check service costs.
- Reports, including attached private messages, encounter conversations, or individual AI messages: Closing a report does not delete its evidence. Reports and moderation records, including case status, actions, audit history, and crisis-event identifiers, remain after account deletion and currently have no automatic expiration. Crisis records do not contain a separate copy of your conversation.
- Sign-in fingerprint: When you delete your account, we keep a one-way fingerprint of your Apple, Google, or phone sign-in. We use it only so that blocks and 'not for me' choices you made, or that others made about you, still apply if you sign up again with the same sign-in. We keep nothing else.
- Abuse-prevention counters, such as sign-in attempts: Automatically cleared after about 1 to 8 days.
- Database backups: Deleted data remains in backups for up to 30 days.
- Connection and error logs: Sampled by Cloudflare and automatically deleted according to Cloudflare's retention periods.
- Content sent to OpenAI: Under OpenAI's policies, abuse-monitoring logs may remain for up to 30 days.
- Usage events, such as panels opened, shortcuts selected, how the app was opened, and error types and code locations: Unlinked from your account. Only codes, numbers, error types, and code locations remain for service statistics. These records currently have no automatic expiration and are retained indefinitely.
After account deletion, purchase and refund records have no automatic expiration. We remove the link to your OtherDay account but keep the random purchase identifier and transaction records for refunds, duplicate-event checks, and reconciliation. Apple, Google, and RevenueCat retain their own records under their policies. Deletion does not cancel a subscription or automatically delete those records.
Deleting your account removes your saved analytics choice and stops future account analytics, but does not automatically delete events already sent to GA4 or Amplitude. Their retention settings still apply. Contact us to request deletion of those records.
See the Privacy Policy for other data-use details.
